Training on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice for Southeast Asia (T4SEA)
Join a regional learning experience that brings together criminal justice professionals from across Southeast Asia to explore practical approaches to advancing people-centred criminal justice.
The Training on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice for Southeast Asia (T4SEA) continues this year to strengthen more people-centred criminal justice systems. This year’s theme, “Harnessing Digital Technology for People-Centred Criminal Justice,” explores how digital technologies can improve access, efficiency, and responsiveness while upholding rights, fairness and trust.
Through interactive learning and peer exchange, participants will examine emerging challenges, regional practices, and practical approaches to using digital technology in crime prevention and criminal justice.

Programme Modules
Module 1: United Nations Standards and Norms in Crime Prevention, Criminal Justice,
and Digital Technology
Module 2: Digital Technology in Criminal Justice
- Investigation and Prosecution
- Judicial Proceedings
- Corrections
Module 3: Governance, Integrity, and Accountability through Digital Technology
The substantive modules will be accompanied by special workshops on innovative and collaborative tools for justice and a site visit. Throughout the training programme, participants are invited to actively participate in group and peer-to-peer discussions, exchange ideas and experiences

Who Can Join?
The T4SEA Programme 2026 will accommodate 30–40 participants.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the T4SEA Programme, applicants must:
- have at least 10 years of professional experience as police investigators, prosecutors, judicial officers, or correction officers, or have worked in the fields of law enforcement, crime prevention, or criminal justice in Southeast Asia;
- be fluent in spoken and written English; and
- be able to attend the full duration of the training programme.
Venue and language
The training will be conducted in a hybrid format. Pre-training sessions are online and training days are on-site at the Thailand Institute of Justice, Bangkok, Thailand. The language for all training sessions is English.
Financial arrangements and accommodation
The programme offers full sponsorship for eligible Southeast Asian justice officials with the required professional experience, covering accommodation and a return economy-class airfare.
Partial funding, which covers accommodation expenses, is available to other justice professionals meeting the same experience criteria, including representatives from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and independent justice practitioners.
Self-funding applicants, with the requisite experience are encouraged to apply and are welcome
to participate in the programme.
