People-centred Justice: Upholding Rights in Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Part 1 Victims)

Following the welcoming ceremony, the first session, Module 2: People-centred Justice: Upholding Rights in Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Part 1 Victims) has started. This session provided a comprehensive understanding of key provisions regarding victims’ rights, their accessibility, and available support mechanisms.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our speakers:

Nguyet Minh Nguyen, Officer in Charge, UNODC Vietnam, for her insightful presentation on the concept of victim’s rights and international standards.

Samantha Jeffries, Associate Professor, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Griffith University, for sharing her expertise on the challenges and solutions for supporting victims in accessing justice and fair treatment.

This day is far from over. Let’s continue to learn, collaborate, and innovate together for safer communities.
